MARUBENI-ITOCHU STEEL INC.


On October 1, 2001 Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc (MISI) was launched as of the joint venture of Itochu Corporation (Itochu) and Marubeni Corporation (Marubeni) steel product divisions. The combined expertise of Marubeni, one of the largest Japanese trading companies in the world and Itochu (formerly C. Itoh and Co., Ltd.), a company covering a broad spectrum of industries, enabled MISI to expand their existing large supplier foundation to benefit customers across the globe.


These traditional Japanese trading companies (Sogo Shoshas) commenced operations in 1858 and are committed to using their extensive knowledge, experiences and connections to ensure their customers always receive the highest quality service and support.



MARUBENI-ITOCHU STEEL OCEANIA PTY LTD.


In 2001 Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc. established a 100% owned subsidiary company in Australia, named Marubeni-Itochu Steel Oceania Pty Ltd (MISO). Based in Melbourne, we have gone from strength to strength since establishment further enhancing our responsiveness and effectiveness in dealing with the growing demands of the Oceania steel market.
