MARUBENI-ITOCHU STEEL INC.

On October 1, 2001 Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc (“MISI”) was launched as of the joint venture of Itochu Corporation (“Itochu”) and Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) steel product divisions. The combined expertise of “Marubeni”, one of the largest Japanese trading companies in the world and “Itochu” (formerly C. Itoh and Co., Ltd.), a company covering a broad spectrum of industries, enabled MISI to expand their existing large supplier foundation to benefit customers across the globe.

These traditional Japanese trading companies (Sogo Shoshas) commenced operations in 1858 and are committed to using their extensive knowledge, experiences and connections to ensure their customers always receive the highest quality service and support.

MISI is not only a steel supplier. Through MISI subsidiaries and affiliates the company is skilled in:

  • Manufacture
  • Process
  • Import
  • Export
  • Logistics management

The company’s principle of three way benefit to buyer, seller and community enables both suppliers and customers to be dependant and reliant on MISI. MISI strives to deliver total value at every stage – including sourcing, logistics, delivery and processing.
